The studio

Founded on an
obsession with light

Shutter & Co. began in 2015 when Alex Rivera moved from photojournalism into commercial work. The first jobs were restaurant menus. Those shoots grew into fashion editorials, brand campaigns, and a Venice studio.

The studio now runs with 4 photographers and 2 retouchers. We have shot for 60 brands, appeared in 20 publications, and photographed 200 weddings.

Client words

What they say

Alex and the team shot our entire spring campaign. The images were strong enough that we ran them for 3 seasons.
Claire D. Creative Director / Fashion
Our wedding photos read like a magazine story. Documentary, not posed. We have never looked more like ourselves.
Sam & Jordan K. Wedding / Full Day
The headshots were natural and confident, not corporate. I booked two callbacks the week I updated my portfolio.
